Lunch Time Indian Fare at T|Bar

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to check out the newly renovated Eaton Chelsea Hotel, Downtown Toronto.  I was invited to tour the entire facility, including all of the event space and restaurant outlets.  The hotel provides variety and tons of space – perfect for large out of town groups and those wishing to host events up to 300 guests!

The largest ballroom although neutral, offers large foyer space – perfect for stations, a grand buffet and a great cocktail hour.  The neutral ballroom allows you to dress it up according to your taste and style, while the chandelieres dress the rooms up, giving it a more formal feel – perfect for those pre-wedding events.

Now for all of our South Asian clients we know how important food is, and often we get asked “How good is the food?”, well I wanted to check it out for myself and thanks to the wonderful hosts at the Eaton Chelsea, I was able to!  T|Bar is a chic, trendy lounge that hosts an Authentic Indian Curry Buffet every weekday from 11:30 till 2 pm – a great lunch time eat, for those on their lunch break!  The buffet featured seven dishes including, a seasoned rice, mattar paneer, lamb roganjosh, butter chicken (of course!), tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas and garlic naan.  I was pleased to find a colorful wheel of ten different kinds of chutnies and achars to suit your flavour!  In addition to this, dessert boasted your traditional gulab jamun and ras gulla amongst other pastries and mini desserts.  The buffet is prepared by executive Chef Brian MacAskill from scratch and couples booking their events in the space are also privy to the same great food – with customization of course to match exactly what your event requires!

You also can’t leave without trying the award winning Ceasar, their signature cocktail where the Chef makes his own fresh Clamato juice from local tomatoes every week!!!! Check it out on your next lunch break!
